2018 Cinematic Discussion Awards

2018 was an amazing year for movies. We saw great blockbuster films, wonderful small budgeted dramas and everything in between. Creating a Top 10 for the year was incredibly difficult, as there were easily 20 movies that could have made it, as well as another 50 that deserve to be mentioned at the very least. We wanted to break down some of the highlights of the year and pass out our own little “awards” for the best of the best. Without further ado, here are the winners:

  • Lucas Hedges

Best Cinematography:

  • Roma

Best Theater Experience:

  • A Quiet Place

Best Score:

  • You Were Never Really Here

Best Editing:

  • BlacKkKlansman

Biggest Surprise:

  • Alpha

Best Action:

  • The Night Comes For Us

Best Opening Scene:

  • A Quiet Place

Best Final Scene:

  • First Reformed

Best Moment:

  • Avengers: Infinity War (Thanos’ *snap*)
