ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS

I loved this movie. I loved that throughout, it felt like something was at stake. In the end, I don’t believe there was much at stake, and that it was all a facade put in place as an attempt at pleasing fans asking for said “stakes”. It may please them currently, but 2 years from now, they may look at this work completely differently. It is tough to judge this movie on its own, not including the movies that preceded it. As a stand-alone, there were many flaws with this movie. It was overstuffed with characters and none really got a good story for themselves. Thanos had a lovely arc, but he was the only one. Gamora came close, but was given literally nothing to do, making her arc flat. The CGI on Bruce Banner towards the end of the movie was absolutely atrocious, and could possibly be the worst I have seen in the MCU to date. This felt like the final act of every MCU film combined, and then edited down to 2 hours and 40 minutes. I still am not sure if I am happy about that, or if it even works… But I know I had a great experience watching this movie.
